.... a Middle-East-chica-sola ready Kathryn. I had a little panic as it dried off, but now I've decided that I like it. I really like it. Harrison told me not to do it and it would look "shit" and that I had "pretty hair as it was" and "how bad can it be in the Middle East"....
I couldn't be bothered to tell him about my walk to the subway yesterday morning, where the calls of "girl, you are lookin' fine" were bad enough.....
So Grandma, that is what I look like with dark hair....
Here's the before shot for comparison...

My hearts not really in blogging today, but here goes anyway. I'll try not to make this sound like a laundry list.
Secondly, Mick - this isn't the sun and the moon, but it should make you happy.....

(I felt more of a knob taking this for you than any other photo, ever!)
I forgot to mention, my Pasti's experience shocked me in one way. Ciara said in all seriousness halfway though her meal "OK, I'm about ready to purge now". I must have looked surprised because she said "Oh, God no, I don't really eat anything... I just eat until I'm really full and then I go to the bathroom, and like, throw up and then I just keep going!". I kept eating without mentioning that that is not only a diagnosable disease, but one for which there are safe and effective treatments available, until she said to me at one point, "OK you look purge-ready now".... Yes, I think I really have now seen it all, and some.....
Mary Poppins was fabulous. As good as everything Sarah told me about the London production, and more. Just great. I've had my fill of Broadway now though, well and truly.
The weather here over the last couple of days has been just stunning. Warm, sunny days. Perfect for some bike riding in Central Park - which I decided to do on a whim and therefore didn't plan, ie no map, no understanding of the road rules and no helmet.... survived though with all limbs intact. That park is big, man. I have a sore "butt" today....

Today I went to Balthazar in SoHo for Breakfast (now, that has set the benchmark for all future breakfast outings).... the smart arse maitre'd referred to me as Kathryn-with-a-K for the rest of the morning.....
Then... off to a Yankees game. It was a lot of fun and I sat next to some great people who explained generally the entire history of the game, the stadium and blah blah blah... it was fun. Except, I've met the first breed of rude New Yorkers - lawyers who work in Manhattan. Bad, bad attitude....

Tell me. How do all these New Yorkers get off work on a weekday to go to a ball game?? Also, I had to stand up and sit down for patriotic purposes more times than a church service!!
Apart from that, wandering around my neighbourhood and those nearby in Downtown Manhattan has been a lot of fun - and I'm off to hit some bars tonight....
PS I forgot to tell you Mum and Dad you'll be pleased to hear that I managed to cartwheel around at least one major archeological site in South America.... it was almost better than the Shepparton Civic Centre Dive Club ball....
