Petra.... and beyond....

I will post pics later (I have some black market vodka coming my way) - I am so knackered after a day at Petra. But, floating in the Dead Sea, prancing about in the DMZ between Jordan and Israel to see Jesus' baptism site and hiking in Dana Valley, staying in a really old village in one of three habitable buildings in the Ottoman ruins.... A great few days.... made all the better with Lisa who has been my travel buddy since Haroun and I parted ways in Dana.

Petra was breathtaking. Walking for ages through the gorge - and then seeing the Treasury appear through the crack was amazing....

Even so, my plans are coming together. One of my pics from Africa that I entered in a photo comp is in the Intrepid travel brochure this year, so between that and four requests for my photos so far on this trip for various websites, my career as a paid traveller might not be too far away (sorry Mel and Kel). Check it out...

(I'm in it, so technically I didn't take it, but..... )
